My People and Place module had me out shooting buildings for the 'Buildings in Use' assignment. This is the business meeting space at the Dave Stephens Centre at South Beach, just down the road from me.

The chapel in the Newcastle castle Keep given the spooky treatment.

And the dark side! Dark storm clouds were already behind the roof but I tweaked this one just a bit more to get the contrast in the solar panels and the threatening sky.

Although many of the images I take for my degree course aren't the sort of thing - being quite technical in nature - you would normally subject site visitors to I'm sure there will be one or two that appeal and this is one. This was from an exercise looking at the role lines (vertical, horizontal, diagonal and curved) play in photographs. I like both the textures and the contrasting colours in this shot.

My home city - Newcastle upon Tyne - taken from the top of the 'new castle' keep........new that is if you were around when the first sections of the castle were in existence - from 1080 A.D. or during Henry II's reign c.1168-78 A.D when the keep itself and the curtain wall including a bailey gate were added.
